- DAY 1: RABAT TO FEZ VIA MEKNES AND VOLUBILIS
Our journey begins in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, where we’ll embark on a scenic drive to Meknes, known for its rich history and stunning architecture. Upon arrival, we’ll explore the vibrant medina and discover the grandeur of historical sites such as Bab Mansour and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail.
Continuing our adventure, we’ll visit the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and immerse ourselves in the fascinating remnants of this once-thriving civilization. As the day draws to a close, we’ll make our way to Fez, the cultural heart of Morocco, where we’ll spend the night in a traditional riad nestled within the labyrinthine medina.
- DAY 2: FEZ TO MERZOUGA VIA IFRANE, ZIZ VALLEY, AND ERFOUD
After a delicious breakfast, we’ll embark on an unforgettable journey through the picturesque landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop is Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” where we’ll marvel at its charming architecture and lush greenery.
Continuing our drive, we’ll venture through the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its breathtaking vistas and verdant palm groves. Along the way, we’ll make a stop in Erfoud, a gateway to the Sahara Desert, before finally reaching the enchanting desert town of Merzouga.
Upon arrival, we’ll experience the magic of the desert with a thrilling camel trek into the vast expanse of the Erg Chebbi dunes. As the sun sets over the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and gold, we’ll arrive at our desert camp, where we’ll spend the night under the starlit sky, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Sahara.
- DAY 3: MERZOUGA TO DADES GORGES VIA TODRA GORGES
Rise early to witness the mesmerizing spectacle of the sunrise over the Sahara Desert, casting a golden glow over the endless sea of sand. After breakfast, we’ll bid farewell to the desert and embark on our journey to Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon famed for its towering cliffs and crystal-clear river.
Continuing our adventure, we’ll traverse through lush palm groves and picturesque villages as we make our way to the captivating Dades Gorges. Here, amidst the rugged beauty of the landscape, we’ll spend the night in a charming hotel, surrounded by the majestic cliffs of the gorge.
- DAY 4: DADES GORGES TO MARRAKECH VIA ROSE VALLEY AND AIT BEN HADDOU
After breakfast, we’ll set out to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Rose Valley, where fragrant roses bloom amidst the verdant fields. Continuing our journey, we’ll visit the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture.
As we traverse through the rugged terrain of the Atlas Mountains, we’ll make our way to Marrakech, the vibrant city known for its bustling souks, lively streets, and vibrant atmosphere. Here, amidst the bustling energy of the medina, our journey will come to an end, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Morocco’s diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
