2 Days 1 Night Sahara Desert Tour from Errachidia to Merzouga Eending in Fez
- DAY 1: ERRACHIDIA - ERFOUD - MERZOUGA DESERT
Our journey begins with a pickup from your riad or the Errachidia airport. From there, we embark on an exciting adventure through the stunning landscapes of Morocco.
Our first stop is Aoufous, where you’ll have the opportunity to admire the beauty of this oasis town nestled in the heart of the desert. Continuing on, we make our way to Erfoud, a charming town renowned for its fossil factories. Here, you’ll explore one of these factories, gaining insight into the fascinating world of fossils that abound in this region.
Next, we head to Merzouga, the gateway to the majestic Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, we’ll embark on a camel trek into the breathtaking Erg Chebbi Dunes, where the golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see. Our journey leads us to a traditional Berber bivouac camp, where you’ll spend the evening immersed in the tranquility of the desert. Enjoy a delicious Berber dinner under the starlit sky and retire to your cozy Nomad tent for a night of rest amidst the desert silence.
- DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT - RISSANI - MIDELT - FEZ
Awake to the magical sight of the sunrise painting the desert landscape in hues of gold and pink. After breakfast, we bid farewell to the desert and embark on a camel ride back to the hotel.
Freshened up and energized, we continue our journey towards Rissani, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore its vibrant souk, filled with bustling activity and traditional Moroccan goods.
Our adventure continues as we drive through the picturesque Ziz Valley and the captivating Middle Atlas mountains. Along the way, we pass through the cedar forests of Azrou, where you can interact with and hand-feed the friendly local monkeys.
We then make a stop in Ifrane, often referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Morocco,’ renowned for its alpine architecture and scenic beauty. Finally, we arrive in the historic city of Fez early in the evening, where our tour concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of your 2-day journey from Errachidia to Merzouga and Fez.
