From Fes to Merzouga: A Magical Journey Through Morocco!
This was the best tour I’ve ever taken! The 3-day Fes to Merzouga tour perfectly combined adventure, cultural exploration, and breathtaking scenery. We left Fes early and made several amazing stops along the way. Ifrane looked like a European town, which was such a cool surprise. In Azrou, we fed the wild monkeys in the cedar forest, which was a lot of fun!
Driving through the Ziz Valley, I was mesmerized by the endless palm groves. By the time we reached Erfoud, I could already feel the desert atmosphere. But nothing prepared me for the beauty of Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. Riding camels into the dunes was an incredible experience, and watching the sunset over the Sahara was magical.
Our stay in the desert camp was unforgettable. We enjoyed a delicious traditional Moroccan dinner, followed by live Berber music and stargazing in the middle of the desert. The next day, the 4×4 adventure through the dunes was thrilling, and visiting Khamlia village to hear Gnawa music was a cultural highlight.
The return trip was just as scenic, with stops in Rissani, where we visited the famous souks, and the Middle Atlas, where we saw beautiful mountain landscapes. This tour was an incredible experience from start to finish, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Moroccan desert adventure!
